Biography
Dian West was raised in the rural Old Fort area. She is a graduate of Old Fort Local High School (Old Fort, Ohio). After graduating early from high school, Dian pursued a career in nursing. She first became a Licensed Practical Nurse through the Sandusky School of Practical Nursing (Sandusky, Ohio) and became an nurse at Fremont Memorial Hospital (Fremont, Ohio) in the critical care department. Dian continued her nursing education by pursuing an Associate of Applied Science: Registered Nurse at Amarillo College (Amarillo, Texas) and, while in Texas, worked at High Plains Baptist Hospital, a large tertiary teaching facility.
She returned to Fremont Memorial Hospital to again work as a registered nurse in both critical care and the emergency department for nearly the next two decades. During this period, Dian pursued manual therapy training and became a Licensed Massage Therapist through the American Institute of Massotherapy (Tiffin, Ohio). In addition, she obtained a Certification in Case Management with a focus on Medical Case Management through Stautzenberger College (Findlay, Ohio).

Dian eventually shifted the focus of her nursing career to occupational health nursing and management at Fremont Memorial Hospital while also completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Management through the University of Findlay (Findlay, Ohio). She then also pursued a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration through the University of Findlay.
Dian’s nursing career took her to Armstrong Air Conditioning (a division of Lennox International) in Bellevue, Ohio where she became the plant nurse and the occupational health and safety director. After closure and relocation of the Armstrong Air Conditioning facility, Dian joined Lilly USA Pharmaceuticals working as a senior pharmaceutical sales representative predominately in the diabetes division. As a result of the pandemic, Dian was forced into an early leave from her position with Lilly USA Pharmaceuticals.
With a passion for education and a desire to serve her community, Dian was elected as a Member of the Governing Board of the North Central Ohio Education Service Center (NCOESC) in November 2023. NCOESC serves students in Crawford, Marion, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Wyandot and Union counties and supports 14 community schools throughout the State of Ohio.
Dian brings a career of multiple skills, knowledge and expertise to the care of patients at the Ohio Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, LLC.
