Did you know?
- Past 35-years-old, you’re more likely to deal with infertility – and your child has a higher risk of conditions like autism.
- Sperm counts have dropped over 50% since the 1970s, thanks to chemicals, plastics, and our modern lifestyles.
- Testosterone replacement therapy can throw off the balance of other reproductive hormones that drive sperm production and can likely cause impaired fertility or complete infertility.
At the Ohio Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, LLC we are committed to comprehensive care services and thus we have partnered with Legacy: At-Home Fertility Testing and Preservation to provide at home sperm testing and long-term fertility preservation services!
Services available include sperm testing, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and sperm preservation. A comprehensive semen analysis tests all of the key metrics of sperm health. Sperm DNA fragmentation measures genetic health and can provide insight into infertility, miscarriage or failed IVF cycles. A sexually transmitted infection test assesses for six STIs including gonorrhea, chlamydia, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV 1/2, and syphilis. Finally, sperm freezing is available with one year, five year and twenty-five year plans for fertility preservation.
Direct Primary Care Member Patients place an order through an exclusive Ohio Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, LLC dedicated web address. Patients are mailed an at-home analysis and preservation kit where samples are collected in the comfort of the patient’s home and returned via mail for analysis and preservation. A copy of the semen analysis results and STI assessment are sent to our office for review with the patient.
The Legacy program is ideal for patients trying to conceive or for use prior to undergoing gender-affirming transition care, cancer therapy or testosterone replacement therapy.
Direct Primary Care Member Patients receive exclusive special discount pricing on Legacy services!
