Dr. Zachary K. West participated in the one-time-only Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Continuing Medical Education Course, “Mark Bookhout’s 35 Years of Clinical Pearls”.
Grounded in the legacy of renowned manual therapist Mark Bookhout, PT, MS, FAAOMPT, CFMM, the course offered a practical, hands-on approach to assessing and treating the body through five key systems: nervous, visceral, soft tissue, joints, and movement. Inspired by the integrated model of Thomas Myers and refined over 35 years of clinical experience, the course equipped participants with essential tools to identify the dominant driver of dysfunction and apply effective interventions.
Topics included: finding the dominant lesion, the lower quadrant, the pelvis and sacroiliac joints, lumbar spine pathologies, visceral relationships to low back pain, the thoracic spine and rib cage, and the cervical spine.
The course was led by Galen Wetzell, DPT, OCS and Kyle Cook, PT, OCS who presented Mark Bookhout’s most impactful clinical strategies for common musculoskeletal conditions.
