Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program

Dr. West is a participating physician of the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program and maintains a Certificate to Recommend endorsement on his Ohio state issued medical license. At the discretion of the physician, based on medical judgement and in accordance with Ohio Administrative Code 4731-32-03, the physician may consider a recommendation of medical cannabis should a patient possess a qualifying medical condition as outlined in Ohio Revised Code 3796.01(A)(6).

Member patients have access to consideration for recommendation as a covered service.

Nonmember patients seeking a consideration for recommendation are encouraged to contact the office. Individual cases may be considered if a patient is referred by a primary care physician and all appropriate medical documentation and records are obtained. Dr. West retains the sole discretion of taking a nonmember patient referral case for consideration for recommendation.

Qualifying medical conditions for medical marijuana use in Ohio: AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, cachexia, cancer, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, Crohn’s disease, epilepsy or another seizure disorder, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, hepatitis C, Huntington’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, multiple sclerosis, pain that is either chronic and severe or intractable, Parkinson’s disease, positive status for HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), post-traumatic stress disorder, sickle cell anemia, Spasticity, spinal cord disease or injury, terminal illness, Tourette syndrome, traumatic brain injury, and ulcerative colitis.
